Judith Elizabeth Marshall of Nevis, Alberta passed away at the age of 74 years at the Stettler Hospital on Thursday, July 16, 2020 surrounded by her family.
Judy was born to John and Helen Gowler on January 1, 1946 in Calgary, Alberta.
Judy met her husband Stuart while at the Fireman’s Ball in Alix. Stuart and Judy were married on October 12, 1963. They later settled on a farm south of Nevis. Judy was very active on the farm, whether it was driving a grain truck or combine, delivering meals to the field, planting a huge garden or helping Stuart deliver calves. Judy enjoyed the company of friends, playing cards, reading, travelling, camping, needlepoint and enjoying the last few winters in Yuma.
Judy is survived by her loving husband Stuart of 56 years; children Ed (Kerri) Marshall and their children Jennifer (Tyson) Tkach and Michael Marshall of Erskine, Bev (Norm) Salmon and their children Ross Salmon and Randy Salmon of Donalda, Vicky (John) Leask and their children Amber Leask and Ryan Leask of Okotoks; brothers: Hugh Gowler of Red Deer, John Gowler of Nevis and Charles (Connie) Gowler of Calgary. Judy was predeceased by her parents John and Helen Gowler and her sister Lynda Gowler.
A celebration of Judy’s life was held on Friday, July 24, 2020 at the Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta with Rev. Barbara Lieurance officiating.
