Mrs. Joyce Syson of Stettler, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2011 at the age of 76 years. She is survived by her loving children Alan (Virginia) Syson of Edmonton, Terry Syson (Betty Muhlbach) of Stettler and Joann Syson of Red Deer. Grandchildren Amy, Miles, Jared, Brad (Kate), Danee (Brent), Rikki-Lee and Nathan (Jackie); great-grandchildren Brenna, Reese, Carter, Bo, Tate, Isaac, Ethan, Kiara, Dante and Anika. Joyce is also survived by sisters Elvina (Gordon) Adams of Edmonton and Sharon (Brian) Dahl of Edgewater, BC as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many very dear friends. Joyce was predeceased by her parents Elmer and Hattie Westby, her husband Ken Syson, her son Donald, sisters Darlene Morissette and Doris Daugherty, and her brothers Glen Westby and Raymond Westby. A funeral service will be held at the St. Peter Lutheran Church in Stettler, Alberta on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Karl Faltin officiating.
