Joyce Adelle Brauer was born on April 15, 1923 in Castor, Alberta to parents Elizabeth (Penosky) and Ernest Brauer.
Joyce married Merle Laroy Strandquist on December 24, 1942, to this union six children were born. Joyce and Merle lived and raised their family in the County of Stettler.
Joyce passed away with family at her side on March 8, 2022 in Stettler, Alberta at the age of 98 years.
Joyce will be sadly missed and leaves to mourn her passing, children: Larry (Susan) Strandquist, Don (Evelyn) Strandquist, Linda (Don) Plested, Glory (Jerry) Tornack, Dixie (Dale) Manson and Glenn (Ilana) Strandquist; fourteen grandchildren: Halley, Kent, Kelly, Allan, Bob, Todd, Shelly, Tara, Tannis, Warren, Scott, Shawn, Kyle and Brittany; seventeen great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband Merle, grandson Tyler and sister Maureen Ball.
A funeral service for the late Joyce Strandquist was held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at the Stettler Funeral Home with Jan Richardson officiating. Donations in memory of Joyce are gratefully accepted to the Stettler Handibus, Stettler Hospice Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
