John Duncan Bussey was born on December 13, 1922 and passed away while in the Pine Ridge Lodge on November 4, 2009 at the age of 86 years. John immigrated from Scotland in 1926 when he was four years old. He lived in Flinflon and later Brandon, MB. until 28 years ago when he came to live in Stettler. John served his country in World War II, Regalia #HS0568 - 1st Combat Division serving in Sicily, Italy, France, Belgium, Germany, and Holland. In his earlier years he loved fishing and carpentry. He married Dorothy Benz on July 2nd, 1985 and they have been married for 24 years. They lived most of their married life in Parkdale in Stettler and the past few years have resided at Willow Creek Lodge. During John's life he was a Miner, Driver, Electrician, Meatcutter, Custodian and Carpenter. He is survived by his loving wife Dot; children Lynda (Dennis) Kowall, William -Will (Debbie) Bussey, Janet (John) McEntee, Brenda (Rod) Bussey, Donald (Sue) Bussey, Barbara Jo (Vic) Langford; stepchildren Beverly Benz, Heather (Brian) Weeks, Terry (Gordon) Schlaht, Sherry (Gordon) Keith, June (Harry) Magee; as well as 22 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
