Jesse Aylsworth

1927 - 2012


Mr. Jesse Aylsworth Cole passed away on March 22, 2012 at the age of 84 years. He is survived by his sister Alice Wood of Cobble Hill, BC, and foster son William Robert of Bonnyville, AB as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Jesse is also survived by his very special friends Louis and Eleanor Richaud. He was predeceased by his wife Martha, sisters Hazel McNabb, Edna Hanson, Edith Nikirk and Letty Cole and by brothers Clarence, Claude and Richard and also by his parents Arthur and Olive Cole. Jesse was born Dec. 24 1927 on the family farm at Heisler, Alberta and attended the Grove School. At a young age Jesse worked on the merchant ships experiencing many cultures and sailing to many countries of the world. When he returned home, he married Martha Nelson of Red Willow and began farming and ranching, something they loved to do together. Jesse was a true horseman as everything he did involved horses. From a young boy riding horseback to school, to rodeoing and winning numerous awards for bronc riding, and lastly to owning and racing standard bred horses. Jesse was also a very proud member of the Standard Bred Horseman's Association. Jesse loved to laugh and tell stories and will be fondly remembered by all. A memorial graveside service will be held at the Hastings Coulee Cemetery at a later date. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Jesse, memorial contributions may be made to the Hastings Coulee Cemetery Fund in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O.
