It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Jean Campbell Koyich (Walker) after her courageous battle with cancer on March 28, 2011 at the age of 75. Jean was a beautiful, caring, and loving person who enriched the lives of her family and many friends. Her tireless devotion to volunteer efforts will never be forgotten and is added to a long and distinguished list of selfless acts throughout her life. Jean is survived by her loving husband Daniel, sister Agnes (Joe) Stanford, children Scott (Karen) Koyich, Patricia Koyich, stepchildren Mike (Brenda) Koyich, Cindy Andrews, and her grandchildren Jessica, Zachary, Tegan Koyich and Tyler Andrews, as well as her nephews Kevin (Sandy) Stanford, Mike (Roxanne) Stanford, Craig and Brian Walker and niece Karen (Alain) Bonvecchio. Jean was predeceased by her parents Glenn and Mabel Walker and brother Colin. The family would like to thank all those who graciously supported us through this difficult time. Funeral Services were held in the Heartland Chapel of the Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta, on April 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Susan Bowyer of the Botha United Church officiating. Tributes were given by Allan Hart and Patti Koyich. A poem was read by Ted Hart "The Train." Interment was held at Woodland Cemetery in Botha with Pallbearers Craig Walker, Brian Walker, Ted Hart, Allan Hart, Ken Hart and Jim Hart. Memorial donations may be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Special Services Department, The Southwood Hospice, or to the Botha Cemetery, c/o Stettler Funeral Home, Box 1780, Stettler, AB, T0C 2L0.
