James (Jim) Henry Oakes passed away on August 10, 2010 in the Stettler Hospital at the age of 85 years after many struggles with his health. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Marguerite, daughter Donna (Lloyd) Larsen and grandchildren Kyle and Amy of Stettler, daughter Yvonne Klebe of Mystery Lake, granddaughter Sheila Grossenbacher and great-grandchildren Wade, Cole and Sydney of Barrhead, and sisters Gladys Alfred of Chetwyn, BC and Pearl Kolberg of Medicine Hat as well as other relatives and friends. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home.
