Herbert (Herb) David

Jan. 9th, 1939 - May 12th , 2011

It is with great sorrow that we announce the loss of our beloved Father, Grandfather and friend who passed away on Thursday, May 12th 2011 at the Stettler General Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Hanna, Alberta on January 9th, 1939 to Sophia and David Karg, Herb was the third of four children. As a farm boy, Herb grew up learning the value of hard work and was an industrious man who loved his family, making many sacrifices for them over the years. He also gave of himself generously to his many friends and business associates. Herb spent many years in retail business, including operating a Texaco Gas Station and later a Texaco Bulk Fuel Business in Stettler, Alberta.

He leaves to mourn his passing his loving daughter Sherry and her family, Nick, Sarah, Adam, and Great Granddaughter Sophia; his oldest son Dave and his wife Sandy and their four children, Ashley, Regan, Sydney and Jachin; his youngest son Dale and his children Robbie and Cameron. He also leaves to mourn his sister Irene Morton and family; brother-in-law John Feeney; sister-in-law LaVerne Karg (nee Heck) and numerous nieces and nephews.

A gentle man with a keen sense of humour and a warm loving nature, Herb will always be loved and missed by his family, many friends and business associates who were an important part of his life for so many years.

We love you Dad and Grandpa!
