In loving memory ~

Helen Crooks (Nee Harrow), passed away peacefully on March 24, 2024, in her 101st year.

Mum's happy, long life started and ended in High River.

Helen is survived by her son, Bob and daughter-in-law, Sharon, of Tomstown, Ontario; daughter-in-law, Ritsuko Miyauchi; grandchildren, Kai and Maya Crooks of Vancouver; granddaughter Toni Vanlanduyt and her family of Clive.

Helen was predeceased by her husband, Stan, of 55 years; sons Brian and Murray; parents Jack and Hilda Harrow of Clive, and five siblings.

A wartime graduate of the Edmonton Normal School, Mum taught in North Star in the Peace River country, Tees, and then, after marrying Dad, she taught in Three Hills, Edmonton, Big Valley, and Turner Valley. Many of her students kept in touch with her over the years.

We wish to express our many thanks to the staff of Unit 200 and the volunteers of High River Hospital.

Funeral and interment to take place in June in High River.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the High River Hospital Foundation in her memory.
