Gladys HILLER

HILLER – Gladys Elvina (1912- 2009). It is with great sadness that the family of Gladys Hiller announce her passing on March 2, 2009 at the age of 96 plus years. Gladys was born May 20, 1912 on the Peterson homestead SE 13-31-22 W4 that celebrated 100 years of farming in Alberta. Gladys married Albert E. Hiller on Dec. 24, 1931. They farmed in the Ghost Pine area until 1973 and then retired to Stettler, AB on their son’s farm where she lived until April, 2008 when she moved into Golden Hills Lodge in Three Hills, AB. Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Delores (Elmer) Bauer of Torrington, AB, Melvin (Doreen) Hiller of Stettler, Ruth (Jim) Wright of Three Hills and Yvonne (Dale) Evans of Three Hills, 11 grandchildren, Calvin (Deborah) Hiller, Collin (Lori) Hiller and Danny (Angie) Hiller, Berwyn (Alynn) Koch, Terry Koch, J.R. (Darlene) Evans, Leanne (Michael) Keyes, Cameron (Jill) Wright, Heather (Mark) Enzie and step grandsons Rick (Donna) Bauer and Kurt (Anna) Bauer. As well as, great-grand children Chelsey (Cody), Damen (Morgan), Alexi Hiller, Kaitlynd, Addison and Rebecca Hiller, Taylor and Shelby Koch, Jaylene and Julia Evans, Erin Keyes and Claire and Blake Enzie, Kayleigh and Connor Ware and her sister Edith Hiller of Ghost Pine Creek, AB, numerous nieces and nephews and a host of good friends. Gladys was predeceased by her husband Albert Edwin in 1980, her son-in-law Alvin Koch in 1975, her parents Anna and Severin Peterson, stepsisters Maria and Jenny, stepbrothers John and Waldemar and sister Dolly. A celebration of Gladys’ life was be held at the Three Hills Knox United Church on March 6, 2009 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Three Hills Knox United Church Memorial Fund or a charity of your choice.Funeral arrangements in care of Sunset Funeral Service, Linden, AB, 403-546-3903.
