Georgina Ruth Hague was born Aug. 29, 1924 in Irma, AB the first daughter and second child of George and Ruth Hague. Georgina’s early years were spent in Chauvin, AB and then the family moved north to High Prairie, AB where she enjoyed her school days. A few years later Georgina moved to Edmonton, AB with her family and from there she came to Stettler, AB to work. In 1945 she was married to Richard Shuckburgh and became step-mom to eight year old Walter; later two other children, Norman and Margaret joined the family. Along with working hard on the farm and raising her family, Georgina loved to read anything and everything. She also enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting. Georgina was a lifetime member of the Warden Ladies as well as an active member of St. George’s Anglican Church for 64 years. Through the church, Georgina volunteered in various areas throughout the years, staying as active as she could for as long as she could. Predeceased by her husband Richard; brother Jack Hague; grandchildren: Elizabeth Diane and Jeffery Cole Shuckburgh; sisters-in-law: June Shuckburgh, Gwen Eichhorn, Muriel Twite, Sylvia Dymond, Doris Shuckburgh, Twila Shuckburgh; brothers-in-law: Seaward Bagnell, John Ward, Leo Shuckburgh, Emil Eichhorn, Charles Twite, Edsel Dymond and Tom Aldcorn. Georgina is survived by her sons: Walter (Joyce), Norman (Shelly); daughter Margaret (Rob); grandchildren and greatgrandchildren: Tom (Corrine) and children Ryan, Adam and Amy, Lynda (Skeeter) and children Wyatt, Zeke, Sam and Tess, Patti (Jim) and children Brooke and Beau and their mother Sherry, Reanna (Kelly), Julia (Josh), Ben, Jessica (Rob) and Riley and their mother Cheryl; brothers: Craig (Phyllis) Hague, Gavin (Elinor) Hague; sisters: Jean Bagnell and Noreen Ward; sisters-in-law: Vera Shuckburgh, Vivian Aldcorn; brothers-in-law: Rex Shuckburgh and Trevor Shuckburgh; special friends: Linda Marcellus, Percy (Lorraine) Marcellus, Nicole (Nathan) Guilloux, Lucas and Lindsey Grover and her friendly visitor Kathy Stull; many other family and good friends.
