McCRINDLE

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and grampa, Gary McCrindle on August 1, 2010 at the Stettler Hospital Complex. Gary was born on November 22, 1943 in Castor, Alberta to parents Bryce and Alice McCrindle of Byemoor, Alberta. Gary was raised on the family farm at Byemoor and attended school in Byemoor. He completed his education in Stettler at Wm. E. Hay. Upon completion of school Gary went to work on the E Lazy E Ranches, a job Gary held for 25 years. From the ranch Gary went to work at Stettler Auction Mart working with cattle, a job he really enjoyed that lasted quite a few years. Gary then went to work for the County of Stettler until he decided to retire at the end of 2009. Gary loved sports of any kind and in his earlier years played baseball, curled and played hockey. He even tried his hand at team roping for a few years which he thoroughly enjoyed, and then he tackled the game of golf. He was involved with the Big Valley Oil Kings hockey team for 15 years as their equipment manager, a job he took very seriously. Gary will be missed and forever loved by his wife of 45 years Elaine; four sons: Stephen (Sharon), Raymond, Russell, Darrell (Sarah); and one daughter Shelagh (Kelly) all of whom he was extremely proud of. Five grandchildren who had a special place in Grampa's heart Cheyene, Leyton, Brandon, Darcie and Madison. Brothers Eldon (Sharon), Tom (Bonnie); brothers in law and sisters in law: Robert (Shirley), Ruth, John, Richard, Faye, Sharon (Ken), Orville (Wanda); numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. Gary was predeceased by his parents Bryce and Alice, parents in law Samuel and Lillian; brothers in law Bill and Dave; sisters in law Drene and Shirley. Gary was a quiet and very private person who was the "rock" of our family and it was very hard to see "our rock" crumble. You are always in our hearts Gary.

I ain't done all I wanted to

I ain't done all I should of done

I ain't done I could have done

But dear Lord,

I ain't been standing still
