HARRISON - Evelyn Jane (Jean) was born on June 5, 1913 at Cora Lynn, AB and passed away in Stettler, AB on Oct. 20, 2008. Jean attended school at the Old Red Willow Country School and Cora Lynn in Red Willow, AB. When Jean married Paul (Pat) Harvey Harrison on Nov. 12, 1934, she moved one mile west of her birth place and Pat moved one mile east of his birth place and together they spent the next 37 years together farming and raising their family and enjoying community life. Jean was active in the UCW, Red Willow Cemetery Club and later in IODE in Stettler. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons and two daughters and their families: son Merle and Gladys Harrison of Red Deer, AB and their children, Ron and Carla Harrison of Barrhead, AB and their daughters and families; Jessica (Trevor) Fauque, Baylee and Brooklyn at Slave Lake, AB; Lyndsay (Cory) Vanderburg and Ivy at Whitecourt, AB; Wanda and Robert Eshpeter of Seba Beach, AB and their children and families; Brendin (Sarah) Eshpeter, MacKenzie and Dawson of Drayton Valley, AB, Terra (Les) Dowhaluk of Tofield, AB, Derek Eshpeter and Courtney Citeneier and Autumn of Drayton Valley; Richard and Jeanette Harrison of Lacombe, AB and their children, Shawn of Chicago, IL and Natasha at home; Wendy and George Andrea of Red Deer, and their daughters Miranda and Madison.; son Edward and Laura Harrison of Red Deer and their children: Patrick (Ashley) Harrison of Alexandria, VA and Kimberly (Craig) Ade of Calgary, AB; daughter Mary Hough and Bruce Barrie of Edmonton, AB and Mary’s children: Kent Hough and Gloria Dyck of Edmonton and daughter Christine Card, Cindy Deshoux of Westlock, AB and sons Brodi and Brandon; daughter Ruth Sahlin and Jeffrey Harriman of Ponoka, AB and Ruth’s children: Pamela (Mike) Linton and daughter Korisa, Tarra Shalin of Haynes and children Matthew and Grace. Jean also leaves to mourn her three sisters-in-law Agnes Rushton and Alberta Harrison both of Stettler and Neitta (Wilma) Harrison of Calgary as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her oldest son Richard (Dick) in 1956, her husband Paul (Pat) on Nov. 13, 1971, her parents Henry and Christina Deforest, her brother James and sisters Marie Walker and Marjorie Kemp. Funeral service for the late Jean Harrison were held at the Stettler United Church in Stettler on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 at 11 a.m. with a reception following in the C.E. Wing of the Stettler United Church with the U.C.W. gracefully catering. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Red Willow Cemetery or to the Heart Haven Lodge in care of Brennen Funeral Home (2001) Ltd., P.O.
