Fraser - It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that the family of Earle Robert Fraser better known as Robert passed away Jan. 15, 2009 in the Drumheller hospital at the age of 82 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Norma, his daughter Roberta (Dave) Young and daughters Amanda and Kimberly of Big Valley, AB his sons Tom Fraser of Big Valley, John (Sharlene) Fraser and children Mackayla, Sydney of Hussar, AB, Jordan, Wyatt and Keanna of Red Deer, AB, Rod (Heidi) Fraser and children Katherine, Jared, and Emma of Stettler, AB, Loren (Devaney) Fraser and children Dustin, Melissa, and Brooke of Big Valley. He is also survived by one sister Viola (Roy) Needman of Big Valley and many loving nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. Robert was born Jan. 1, 1927 at Huxley, AB. Living there for a short time before moving to Athabasca, AB where he started school. He left Athabasca at a young age and moved to Big Valley, where he lived until his passing. Robert worked for Usher Ranching with Lloyd Webster as foreman. Then Robert worked for Archie McAllister trucking. Then in 1967, Robert married his soul mate and the love of his life Norma and started their family. He then went farming and drove school bus and worked briefly for Kennedy Oilfield. Robert retired from farming and enjoyed his 13 special wonderful grandchildren. His special thing was his family, which was the center of his life and Wilf Carter music. He was predeceased by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. A celebration of Robert’s life at his request was to be a private immediate family service.
