Clayton Douglas Norman was born on February 28, 1944 in Stettler, Alberta to parents Myrtle and Swen Norman.
Doug attended the U of A receiving his Agriculture degree. A year prior to his graduation he met his future wife, Joeann. Joeann and Doug were married on May 7, 1966, making Stettler their home. To this union two children were born, Warren in 1968 and Olana in 1970.
Joeann, Doug and family made their forever home north of Stettler. Doug enjoyed doing photography, raising Arabian horses, loved to travel, worked in 4-H and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He lived to care for his family and will always be in our hearts.
Doug passed away in Stettler on September 15, 2020 at the age of 76 years.
Doug is survived by his loving family, wife of 54 years, Joeann Norman of Stettler; son Warren (Sandra) Norman of Stettler and their children: Riley, Aspen and Sawyer; daughter Olana Norman (Tim Watson) of Edmonton; nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.
A celebration of Doug’s life will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Doug are gratefully accepted to the Parkinson Society c/o Stettler Funeral Home & Crematorium, P.O. Box 1780, Stettler, AB T0C 2L0, 403-742-3422, who have been entrusted with the care and funeral arrangements.
