It is with great sadness that we announce the departure of Dorothy Darlene Nemetz, who passed away in Stettler, Alberta on April 12th, 2025. Darlene was born on December 23rd, 1948, and she married Arthur Chester Nemetz late in 1968, after completing her nursing training on September 16th, 1968. Darlene and Art had three sons during their union Arthur (Dean), Stacy, Anthony, and seven grandchildren.
Darlene was a loving wife and mother and worked as a nurse with the Stettler Hospital for over 27 years and followed by nine years as a home care nurse.
Darlene leaves behind her children Stacy Nemetz (Joy), Hailee, Karl, Anthony Nemetz (Anna) Téa, Oscar and her grandchildren Riley Nemetz, Ruby Nemetz and Cooper Nemetz; sisters and brothers; Doreen Knopp (Ed), Carol Oatway (Lional), Fran Cox, Tom Cox (Kathy), John Cox (Antonia) and Earl Cox.
Darlene was predeceased by her mother Dorothy Cox; father Thomas Cox; beloved sister Joan Keenan (Terry); brother Harold Cox (Gayle); loving husband Aurthur Nemetz; and son Dean Nemetz (Jody).
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Stettler Funeral Home, Stettler, Alberta.
