It is with sadness that the family of Doris Tolmie (nee Lee) announces her passing on Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at the age of 92. Doris is survived by her daughters Cathy McTaggart (Bill), Keltie Tolmie and Norah Tolmie (Jes Aagaard), grandchildren Ashley Bowman (Kevin), Linsey and Laura McTaggart, Jack and Meg Stearman, great-grandchildren Tyler, Connor and Kaitlyn Bowman, and special family friend Darolyn McCrostie and her family. Doris was predeceased by parents Percy and Annie Lee, husband John Tolmie, and brother Ronnie Lee. The family wishes to thank those who interacted with Doris at Shepherd's Care Kensington including her care attendant Lynn and Dr. and Mrs. Marner, as well as the wonderful staff at the Royal Alexandra Hospital, particularly all those on Unit 34. A service to celebrate Doris' life will take place on Tuesday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. at Westmount Presbyterian Church, 13820-109A Avenue NW. A private interment will be held at a later date in Stettler, Alberta, where Doris was born. Memorial donations may be made to the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Liver Foundation.
