MCKAY, Donald Gordon
It is with great sadness that the family of Donald McKay announces his passing on January 21, 2017 at the amazing age of 100 years, 6 months and 6 days.
Don will be lovingly remem-bered by his wife of 64 years, Evelyn and his children, Robin, Lorraine (Irvine), Paul and Wendy (David). He will also be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren, Kassandra (Shane), Kim (Kevin), Cody (Lindsay), Kyle, Cammi (Damien) and Stacie (Grant), as well as three great grandchildren, Darian, Keanna and Viktor, his sister Mysie and brother Herbert.
Don was born July 15, 1916 on the family farm at Donalda. He was an avid sports fan, played baseball, curled with the Donalda Curling Club for many years and loved to listen and watch any game on radio and TV. Don was predeceased by his parents father Hedley (1972), mother Bertha (1974), brother Wally (2010), an infant brother and sister.
A memorial for family, friends and neighbors will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Don may be made to a charity of your choice c/o Stettler Funeral Home & Crematorium, Box 1780, Stettler, Alberta T0C 2L0, who were entrusted with the care and arrangements.
