Connie Steeves passed away at Heritage House in Stettler, Alberta, with her loving family at her side on May 23, 2011. Connie was born on May 20, 1914 in Barnsley, England. Connie spent her first thirteen years in England then moved to Canada in 1927 with her parents and her brothers. Connie raised her family at Endiang, Alberta. After Paul passed away she moved to Hanna working at various places in Hanna. She joined the Legion and participated in many functions until moving to Calgary. She worked at many occupations until she retired. She lived at Wilkinson House Senior Complex where she made many friends. Connie moved to Brooks, living with her daughter Joan for a few months before moving to Stettler. Connie is survived by her loving family; Gordon (Marlene) Schultz, Margaret Jones, Dennis (Isabel) Schultz, Ray (Marj) Schultz, Joan Mohl, Judy(Albert) Ryckman and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Doreen Heptonstall and Valy Peters as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of. Connie's life was held on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Hanna, Alberta with Reverend Robert Grewe officiating. Loving tributes in memory of grandma were given by grandchildren, Dean Jones, Darlene Stoddard and Wanda Murray. Connie was laid to rest beside her husband Paul Schultz in the St. Peter Lutheran Church Cemetery at Scapa, Alberta.
