FORSYTH Charles Amber

Charlie was born on August 1, 1919 at Edam, Saskatchewan, the youngest of eight children. He passed away on May 5, 2017 at the age of 97 years in the Stettler Hospital and Care Centre.

Charlie worked for local farmers around his home area at a young age. When the war broke out he enlisted in the Army and served for five years.

Charlie met Margaret Beer and they were married on March 13, 1943 at Red Deer, Alberta. They resided there until 1946, when they moved to the family farm south of Erskine and remained there until his passing. Their family started in 1946 with the birth of son Cameron, followed by daughter Linda in 1952. Charlie loved the farm life, his Angus cattle herd and his garden. He especially loved trapping and enjoyed teaching and passing his knowledge to fellow trappers.Charlie is survived by his wife Margaret, daughter Linda and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by son Cameron in 2007 and all of his siblings and parents.

A funeral service for the late Mr. Charlie Forsyth will be held on Monday, May 15, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at the Evangelical Free Church in Erskine, Alberta with Reverend Ross Helgeton officiating. Serving as honorary pallbearers are friends and family of Charlie; Becky and Buzz Andersen, Carly Andersen, Brian Butterfield, Ed Spruyt and Bill Beer.
