YAUCH - Cecilia Wilhelmina was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Oct. 24, 2008 at her home with her family by her side. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters; Gayle Shaw and Jeannie Duncan, her grandchildren; Marnie (Steve), Dodi (Monie), Jared (Natalie) and Alicia (Phill), her great-grandchildren; Isabella, Isaac and Josie. She was predeceased by her husband; Ralph, her sister; Leola, and her brothers; Donnie and Hermie. Cecilia was born on Dec. 6, 1912 on a farm near Botha, AB and lived most of her life in that area. In 1943 she was married to Ralph Yauch and in 1985 they moved to Vernon. She was confirmed in the Stettler Lutheran Church at 15 years of age and in 1987 she became a member of the Living Word Lutheran Church in Vernon, B.C. Cecilia will always be remembered for her profound strength of character, her determined spirit and her boundless enthusiasm. A Celebration of Cecilia’s Life was held at Living Word Lutheran Church (6525 Okanagan Landing Road) on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. with Pastor Al Pinno officiating. Burial followed in the Coldstream Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, those who wish to do so may send donations in memory of Cecilia to the charity of your choice or to the Christian Blind Mission, World Vision or B.C. Childrens Hospital.
