KREJCI, Carol Anne
1943 - 2011
Carol passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born July 15, 1943 in Edmonton, where she lived with her parents until meeting Robert, her future husband and best friend. After they married, they lived in Edmonton, Lacombe and then, in 1966, settled in Stettler where they raised their four children. Carol was a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and was especially proud to be a great-grandmother to Liam who was born in December 2010. She greatly valued her family and many friends in the community. She had a zest for life and a wicked sense of humour. She enjoyed the many people she met through the Kinette Club, Weight Watchers and through her work with Home Care. Robert and Carol enjoyed traveling to many destinations over the years. Their favourite spot was Rincon de Guayabitos, Mexico where they made many friends. They also adopted a few local families in Mexico. It gave Carol great joy to provide the children with clothing and toys. The cabin at Buffalo Lake was also a place where they spent many summers as a family. Carol will be missed in so many ways by her family and friends. Our memories of Carol will never fade as she touched so many people with her generosity, great cooking and wonderful sense of humour. Carol is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Robert, children; Dean (Anne) Krejci, Janice (Ken) Strome, Greg Krejci and Kevin Krejci, grandchildren; Scott (Jessica) Strome, Russell (Kaysi) Strome, Ashley Strome, Amanda Krejci and Cam Krejci and great-grandchild, Liam Strome, brother-in- law, Ward (Eileen) Krejci, sisters-in-law, Islay Frank and Linda (Eric) Saari, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many very dear friends. Carol was predeceased by her parents, Rudolph and Inez Boborosky, her brothe,r Randy Boborosky, parents-in-law, Joseph and Violet Krejci, several brothers and sisters-in-law and Kevin's life partner, Richard. A celebration of life for the late Mrs. Carol Anne Krejci was held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 in the Heartland Chapel of Stettler Funeral Home with Reverend Debbie Stockdale officiating. In memory of their dear friend, Mr. Jim Milne gave a warm and loving tribute and Mrs. Sue Peterson blessed those in attendance with her gift of music accompanied by Mr. Scott Pfeiffer on organ. A pictorial tribute with an array of Carol's favorite music was made by her loving grandchildren and enjoyed by all. Following the memorial service family and friends gathered for a time of fellowship and a luncheon prepared and served by Pass The Pepper.
