LEE

Brian Frank

1984 - 2012

Brian passed away at the Foothills hospital on May 30, at the young age of 28. He was the only son of Roger and Malora and a wonderful brother to Monica and Andrea. Brian attended Waverly School from kindergarten to grade eight and then finished his high school at Wm. E Hay in Stettler. He had many interests over the years and enjoyed the time spent, the things he learned and the people he met through Junior Forest Wardens and 4-H, but his greatest passions were hunting and farming. Brian started as "bush beater" during deer season at the age of four and was always up for a good chase! Last year he was so happy to have finally bagged "a big one". His interest in farming never really "started," it was as though he had been born with it, he lived and breathed it. He started entering seed samples in the Northlands Seed Show as soon as he was able to sit at the kitchen table and clean the grain with a pie plate and tweezers. Brian always had plans for the prize money. He spent most of his earnings on purchasing videos from Prairie Farm Report. Brian would get up bright and early to watch and record this show, as he was always fascinated at how people could come up with ingenious ways to make farming a little easier. Usually, that was where he bought his dad's gifts for various occasions throughout the year. He even came up with a few of his own "gadgets" that he had put a lot of time and effort into. Brian enjoyed his work with Hydromaxx and has made some great friends through his work in the oilfield. To say that we will miss Brian would be a huge understatement. We will never forget him and we will always hold him in our hearts with love. Brian is survived by a wonderful niece and nephew, Isabelle and Owen. When he would look at their picture in his room, in the hospital, he told us that he was glad that a little bit of him would live on in them. Good-bye Brian, we love you so much. Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents Roger and Malora Lee; sister Monica (Shane) Gibson and their children Evan, Owen and Isabelle and by sister Andrea Lee. Brian is also survived by one uncle, numerous aunts and cousins and many many very dear friends. A Prayer Vigil was held in loving remembrance of Brian at the Christ-King Catholic Church on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 7:00 P.M. and the Mass of Christian Burial took place at the Christ-King Catholic Church on Monday, June 4, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. with Father Arlan Parenteau as Celebrant. Interment followed in the Red Willow Cemetery. Everyone then joined at the Stettler Community Hall for a time of fellowship and light refreshments. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Brian, memorial contributions may be made to S.T.A.R.S. Air Ambulance or to the Red Willow Cemetery in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Cremation Services P.O.
