Betty Watson

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Betty Watson announce her sudden passing on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at the age of 77. Betty (Gabriel) Watson was born May 13, 1939 to Richard and Dorothy Gabriel of Erskine, AB. She grew up on the farm and after high school she moved to Edmonton where she met her husband Eugene Watson and were married on January 27, 1962. To this marriage they had three children, Raymond, Leanne and Mindy. They lived in Edmonton and then Sherwood Park for many years and recently celebrated 50 years together. Betty is survived by her son Raymond (Wendy) Watson, daughters: Leanne (Ralph) Sears and Mindy Watson; grandchildren, Ariel and Jaydin Watson, Brooklynn Doucette, Kaite and Meaghan Sears; her sister Connie Haustein; as well as her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Pat Watson. She was predeceased by her husband Eugene "Gene" Watson. A celebration of Betty's life was held on Friday, July 29, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home, 52356 RR232 (south of Wye Road), Sherwood Park, AB.
