February 15, 1950 - September 26, 2018
Barry passed away on September 26, 2018 at home on the family farm. Barry was the second child born to Susan and Reg Whymark on February 15, 1950.

In 1969 Barry moved to work in Wetaskiwin, where he met and married the love of his life Rosemary. Barry and Rose were married June 30, 1972 in Wetaskiwin and remained there until moving back to take over the family farm in 1974.

Mixed farming, hunting, trapping, baseball and hockey were all passions of his throughout his life. Although Barry and Rose never had children of their own, they loved and spoiled rotten all of their friends and family's children. Kids loved Barry and he would entertain them with his exciting stories and unique sense of humor.

Always willing to help out, he could be found helping to build new community facilities or at neighbors harvesting or branding.

Barry is survived by his loving wife Rosemary; sisters-in-law: Jeanette Markus (Tom) and Kathy Whymark, brother-in-law Richard Markus (Aline) and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as many friends and extended family.

Barry was pre-deceased by parents Reg and Susan Whymark; brother Fred Whymark; mother and father-in-law Arnold and Margaret Forth; brother-in-law Melvin Makus and sisters-in-law: Erla Makus and Sharon Makus. A celebration of life for Barry was held at the Byemoor Community Hall, Byemoor, Alberta on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Jack Hayden officiating. A tribute was read by Kerry Whittacker, Angela Lowther, Paula Franklin and Twila Buchwitz. Friends and family joined together for a time of sharing memories and a light lunch prepared and served by the Byemoor Community Ladies. Interment took place at the Byemoor Cemetery, Byemoor, Alberta.

Donations will be gratefully accepted to the Byemoor Cemetery, Byemoor Community Club or to a charity of your own choice. c/o Stettler Funeral Home & Crematorium, Box 1780, Stettler, AB
