December 23, 1961 - July 20, 2018
On Friday, July 20, 2018 the passing of Aubrey Noel Brown, age 56, beloved husband of Rhonda Brown occurred with his loving family by his side.

Born in St. John's, Newfoundland, he was the son of the late Roderick and Anne (English) Brown. Besides his wife he will be missed by his loving children Buddy, Woody, and Claire Brown; brothers Gord Brown (Sandy Vanier), Kevin Brown (Shirley); sister Sharon Lloyd; brothers-in-law Corby Miller (Yvonne), Greg Miller (Judy); sister-in-law Peggy Murray (Neil); numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many dear friends.

Aubrey lived in Topsail Pond, Conception Bay South, Newfoundland until he was three years old. The family moved to Pickering, Ontario for work and he lived there throughout his school, university and early working years.

Aubrey moved to North Vancouver in 1989 where he worked for BC Directories and met Rhonda in early 1990. They were married on October 19, 1991. Buddy was born on January 3, 1993. Aubrey, Rhonda and Buddy moved to Red Deer in early 1994. Aubrey worked as a salesman for H.H. Brown Shoe Company, later as a Census Area Manager, and then as a Media Sales Rep for the Ag Dealer magazine. Woody and Claire were born on August 26, 1994 and May 10, 1996 respectively.

He lived in Red Deer with Rhonda and their children until 2007 at which time the family moved to Stettler where Aubrey had been hired to take over the reins of The Stettler Independent as publisher on October 1, 2006. He also served as Regional Publisher for the Castor Advance, Ponoka News, and the Rimbey Review. He became the Executive Director of the Stettler Regional Board of Trade on April 1, 2012. Aubrey and Rhonda bought the Georgetown Historic Inn & Restaurant in Prince Edward Island in October 2014 where they were living at the time of Aubrey's passing.
