KASK - Arthur R., born June 30, 1930. Survived by nephews, Mark Horpestad and spouse Traci, Edmonton, AB, Dale Horpestad, Victoria, B.C., Terry Horpestad and spouse Texi, Sooke, B.C., niece Karen Horpestad, brother in-law, Ken Horpestad, eight great-nieces and nephews, five great-great-nieces and nephews.Predeceased by sister Mary Horpestad (nee Kask), - 2004, spouse Martha Wimmer - 1996, nephew Raymond Horpestad - 1994, nephew Ronald Horpestad - 1983, father Dennis Kask - 1970, mother Ellen Kask - 1952. Art passed away peacefully on Aug. 29, 2008 at Heritage House in Stettler AB. Art grew up in the Fenn area and attended Aunger School. He worked for the County of Stettler - Department of Public Works and for the
Town of Stettler where he maintained the cemetery in which he rests. Arthur enjoyed taking photographs, playing cards and working in his garden. Art was meticulous in many things he did and was very organized. A graveside service was held on Thursday, Sept. 4 2008, at 2 p.m. Officiating for the service was Art’s dear and close friend Rev. Jack Schulze. Art is now resting peacefully by Martha’s side under the lilac tree at Lake View Cemetery. He is now with his parents and sister to shine as the sunlight on ripened grain. He will be missed by his family and friends. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Parkinson’s Society in care of Brennen Funeral Home (2001) Ltd. who were entrusted with the care and arrangements.
