Mar 23, 1918 - Jan 3, 2018
On January 3 , 2018, Anna Elsa (Wudel) Taylor, passed away to rest with her Lord.

Anna was born in Garden Valley (south of Spruce Grove), AB on March 23, 1918 to Ludwig and Bertha (Fischer) Wudel. She was the oldest of four siblings, all of who predeceased her: Norman, Eleanor & Archie.

After completing school in Stony Plain, AB, Anna worked for The Hudson's Bay Company store in Edmonton for several years. During this time she met Gordon Taylor and they married on October 26, 1940.

Gordie was deployed with the Canadian Army in 1942 returning home in 1945. At this time Anna moved from Edmonton and she and Gordie settled in Halkirk, AB where they lived until moving to Heart Haven Lodge in Stettler in 2000.

Anna's life was distinguished by the gifts of kindness, loyalty and thoughtfulness. Every person that she encountered immediately felt as though they were cherished by her. As a faithful follower of Christ, she was prayerful and diligent throughout all of life's struggles, and found great strength through faith in our Lord.

Anna is survived by her sister-in-law, Maxine Wudel, as well as her many nieces and nephews and extended family.

As a family we want to express a special thank you to the staff and residents of Heart Haven Lodge, who treated her like they would one of their own cherished family members.

At Anna's request there was no funeral, rather a reception as held at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 2 p.m.
