Anna Blouin (Peterson) passed away at the Stettler Hospital on February 3, 2017 at the age of 93 years. Anna was born on February 3, 1924 at Hayter, AB, the first born of Gust and Pauline Peterson. Anna met Marcel Blouin through Helene Blouin, which was her pen pal for years, in 1943. In 1944 they were engaged and on October 27, 1945 were married in Rosalind, AB. Anna worked at Malones farm for a short time and then at the Arlington Hotel in Camrose, AB before they were married. To this union six boys were born and raised on their farm near Donalda, AB. Later, Anna worked at Heart Haven Lodge in Stettler, AB for four and a half years and then retired. Anna loved to garden, loved flowers, enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting and canning. She also loved fishing, playing cards, visiting and loved time with her family. Anna is survived by her children John of Carval, AB; Lester (Jane) of McBride, BC; Eric (Sharon) of High River, AB; Lenord (Joan) of Alberta Beach, AB and Dale (Lorraine) of Donalda, AB. Grandchildren, Bonnie Ann, Clayton, Ron, Michael (Jenel), Susan (Darrell), David (Catherine), Garry (Jodi), Dennis (Sheena), Scott (Shalan), Richard (Kelly), Pamela (Shane), Samantha (Adam), Heather (Chris), and Matthew (Jillene). Anna is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lexi, Noah, Lacey, Wyatt, Emily, Zachary, Dallas, Devin, Madison, Ryder, Alesha, Taylor, Emma, Freya, Haley, Hayden, Mackenzie, Grady, Turner, Everitt and Henry. Brother, Donald Peterson as well as numerous nieces, nephews and very special friends. Anna was predeceased by her husband Marcel, son Ovide, her parents Gust and Pauline Peterson, sister Tina Youngman, brothers Albert Peterson, George Peterson, Melvin Peterson, Gilbert Peterson, and Robert Armstrong. Funeral services were held at the Donalda Community Hall on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Father Len Gartner officiating. As an expression of sympathy and in loving memory of Anna, memorial contributions may be made to the Donalda Cemetery Club or a charity of your choice in care of Brennen Funeral Home and Creation Services, Box 193, Stettler, AB, T0C 2L0 who have been entrusted with the care and arrangements.
