Amy is survived by her sisters – Gladys and Dorothy, her eight children – John (Sharon), Joyce, David (Bonny), Ken, Stan (Laura), Brian (Belen), Carolyn (Mike), and Brenda; 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Born eighth of 10 children in Halkirk, AB Amy married Joe on April 18, 1945, in Stettler, AB. In 1947, they moved to Pitt Meadows, B.C., where they lived out their lives farming and raising their family. Over the years, Amy and Joe enjoyed many trips back to their home towns of Halkirk, Stettler and surrounding areas for visits with family and friends. Amy’s role as wife and mother reached far beyond that of chief nose blower and bottle washer, to chauffeur, tractor operator, hay maker, gardener, cook, pie maker, sweater knitter, party planner, referee, garage saler, cross country skier, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy enthusiast, and overall social butterfly.
