PAYNE
Allan Frederick "Al" passed away on Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 69 years.
Al was born in Humboldt, Saskatchewan on May 6, 1947. In 2005, Al and his family moved to Stettler from Calgary and worked at Stettler Dodge as the Shuttle Driver until it was time to retire in 2013. He enjoyed hunting, gardening, hockey, and making wooden toys in his shop.
Predeceased by his father Frederick; brothers Archie, Robert (Vivian) and Glen; sisters Elsie Bastien and Darlene Monczko and father in law William Way; Al leaves to mourn his passing his loving wife Alison; children Sandra Payne, Don (Carmen) Payne, Tanya (David) Fradette; grandchildren Abby (Mitchell) and their son Landon, Brandon; brothers Dale (Rose), Lorne (Linda), sister Verna (Derrick) Mann, brothers Brett (Rosalie), Kevin (Pam); mother Vera Payne and mother in law Marg Way; numerous brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family.
Funeral services honouring Al's life were held on Saturday, June 11, 2016 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Stettler Funeral Home with Pastor Ross Helgeton officiating. Loving tributes by Tracey Walker and family were given. Special recorded music "When I Get To Where I'm Going, "The Dance" and "Because You Loved Me" were played. Honorary pallbearers were "All Those Who Touched Al's Life". Following the service family and friends gathered together in the Heartland Fellowship Hall of the Stettler Funeral Home for a time of sharing and a luncheon prepared by the Fenn Ladies.
