1916 - 2009

Miss Alison Allan Elliot passed away on August 14, 2009 at the Stettler Health Care Centre after a brief illness. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Margaret and sister-in-law Violet Elliot. She was the dear Aunt of Rob (Sheila), David (Sharon), Neil (Faith), Alastair (Deanna) and their families. Alison was predeceased by her parents James and Margaret Elliot, and her siblings, Walter , Jim and Nancy. Alison was born at home with her father as the midwife. She was the youngest of five. Her early years of schooling and also her high school education was obtained in a one room school house in Spondin, Alberta. Alison worked in her uncle John Stewart's Insurance office in Coronation then went on to work at the Legg and Sloan Law Office in Stettler. Alison moved to Sylvan Lake in the 1970's to work with her brother Jim at Elliot Agencies. Upon her retirement, Alison moved to Nanaimo, BC and later returned to Stettler where she lived until her passing. A memorial service will be held at the Brennen Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. with the Rev. Debbie Stockdale of the Stettler United Church officiating.
