Alice Elizabeth (Szabo) George
1934 - 2017
It is with heavy hearts that we share with you the passing of our mom, grandma and great-grandma (GG), Alice George on February 26, 2017. Memorable moments include family camp-outs, fishing, gatherings and evening coffee with home baking. Knitting, crocheting, sewing and gardening were some of her favourite hobbies. Family members and close friends always appreciated these hand-crafted gifts and baking that she so generously gave away. Alice leaves behind her four children, Vince (Pat) George, Dell (John) Donaldson, Cindy Scheller (Jim Soper), Kerry (Carolyn) George, eight grandchildren, Chris, Terry, Carrie-Anne, Bruce, Danny, Kandice, Eric and Kurt, seven great-grandchildren, Keyan, Bryce, Skyla, Dayton, Evan, Layne and Colin. She is also survived by her younger brother, Alex Szabo. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Norm, brother John Szabo, great-granddaughter Taryn. She leaves behind friends and extended family as well, who were also very important in her life. At Alice's request, no formal funeral service will be held. Memorial donations in Alice's honour can be made to the Renal Dialysis Unit, Stettler Hospital or the Alberta Diabetes Foundation and will be accepted at the Stettler Funeral Home.
Nothing can ever take away, the love a heart holds dear. Fond memories linger every day, remembrance keeps her near.
