An interim operating budget of just over $27 million for 2010 for the County of Stettler has been adopted at its recent regular meeting. The first draft of the final budget will be presented at the regular meeting of council in February.

Development and growth and struggles with funding were again the major issues facing the Town of Stettler and the County of Stettler in 2009.

At its regular meeting Dec. 15, Town of Stettler council awarded a tender to Wally’s Backhoe Service Ltd. of Stettler for $62,718.60, the lowest of four tenders to level the building by Stettler Middle School by March 31, 2010.
