County adopts interim budget of $27M

An interim operating budget of just over $27 million for 2010 for the County of Stettler has been adopted at its recent regular meeting. The first draft of the final budget will be presented at the regular meeting of council in February.

Old pool in Stettler set to be demolished this winter

Unused for several years, Stettler Centennial Pool by will be demolished by next spring. At its regular meeting Dec. 15, Town of Stettler council awarded a tender to Wally’s Backhoe Service Ltd. of Stettler for $62,718.60, the lowest of four tenders to level the building by Stettler Middle School by March 31, 2010.

Trials for Tees farm thefts delayed

A warrant for the arrest of one of four men charged in a high-profile theft and shooting on a Tees farm in late March 2009 has spread outside the province of Alberta.
