Fines and sentences for several charges related to alcohol and impaired driving were handed down in Stettler Provincial Court on March 25 where the judge again expressed frustration with the abusive substance.

A weekend fire in Botha caused substantial damage but no serious injuries on Saturday. The Stettler Fire and Rescue Chief Mark Dennis issued the following statement with regard to the incident:
