Two-time World and Canadian Champion Zeke Thurston had an impressive debut at the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Dec. 2.
Thurston, of Big Valley, AB, tied the first round with Montanan cowboy Chase Brooks, each scoring an 88.5 ride in the Saddle Bronc event.
Both riders pocketed over $24,000
“That horse had a couple of pretty good moves out of there,” said Thurston.
“Kind of had me wondering where he was at. But I got sat back down, the horse really bucked and I finished the ride. It was good.”
The ride moved the reigning Canadian Champion into fourth place in the World standings.
