Work bee planned at Donalda cemetary

The Donalda Cemetery is planning a work bee at the cemetery at 10 a.m. on Sat. Sept. 16. Anyone interested in helping or working on their family graves are invited to attend.

2017 is election year for municipal governments in Alberta. Nomination day for candidates is Sept 18. If the number of nominations exceeds the three council positions, an election will be held on Oct 16. Prospective candidate can obtain election information from the Village of Donalda returning officer Jason Olson at the village office. Please call 403-883-2345 for more information. The Donalda &District Agricultural Society will be having their next regular meeting on Mon Sept 18 at 7 p.m. at the hall. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Donalda &District Museum will be hosting a Sunday Turkey Dinner on Thursday, Sept 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Drop In Centre. The menu consists of roast turkey, dressing, gravy, dreamy mashed potatoes, buttered carrots, corn, yummy beets, as well as salads, buns, beverages, and desserts.
