The Wm. E. Hay Stettler Secondary Campus will be performing their annual play, "Almost, Maine" later this week amidst rumours in the community, which ranges from nudity to suggestions of adult scenes.

Speaking directly to the rumours brought forth, play director Darren Fleischhacker said, "There's absolutely no nudity in the play, however it is about falling in and out of love so there are three kissing scenes."

The play will be having a prologue, epilogue and eight short scenes, based on the concept of love.

With the drama department and students working hard since September to bring this "very popular high school play" to fruition, the community can expect some professional entertainment from local talent.

"We started our auditions three months back, and everyone who auditioned prepared and presented a one-minute monologue and read selections from the script," Fleischhacker added.

With cast and crew there are over 40 people participating, with many more involved in different capacities.

"It has been most rewarding to see the growth in the actors and crew as they've taken words from the written page and brought them to life on stage," Fleischhacker said.

The play will be performed twice on Thursday, Dec. 1 with one performance being only for grades 8 and 9; with a dinner theatre on Friday, Dec. 2 and an evening show on Saturday, Dec. 3.
