Alberta’s new centre-right political force, Wildrose Alliance is to have its first meeting of its Drumheller - Stettler constituency association at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12 at the Stettler Agriplex with the party’s only MLA Paul Hinman as the guest speaker.

Association chairman Stan Solberg, said in a letter to the delegates that the meeting would be held to elect the constituency officers who will function in 2010.

The Wildrose Alliance, which seems to have caught the attention of province’s electorate after Danielle Smith’s election as the party leader, has done much better that expected in a recent bye-election in Calgary, which carried Paul Hinman to the legislature.

Stan Solberg says he is expecting a visit by Danielle Smith to the Drumheller - Stettler constituency early in the new year to drum up support for the party’s campaign to unseat the Progressive Conservatives in the next election.
