Stettler RCMP have issued a warrant for a 21-year-old Red Deer woman following tips from the public.
Jessica Mahoney is being sought in relation to a break-and-enter to the Shell Gas Station in Stettler on Tuesday, Oct. 4.
Mahoney’s visage was allegedly captured by surveillance systems, and police released the photo in hopes of identifying her.
Due in part to tips from the community, police were able to identify Mahoney as a suspect in the case.
The warrant is for a number of charges, including the break-and-enter, Stettler RCMP detachment commander Sgt. Phil Penny said in a press release.
Roughly $5,900 worth of tobacco products were stolen during the break-in.
“Stettler RCMP would like to extend their appreciation to the members of the public who assisted in identifying the suspect in this incident,” Penny said.
