Stettler woman faces 67 fraud-related charges

The crown hasn’t decided yet if they will proceed by indictable offence or summary conviction, the lesser offence, against a Stettler woman facing 67 charges.

Skye Desiree Sweeting appeared in Stettler provincial court July 26 charged with 23 counts of fraudulently personate another person to gain advantage for self, 12 counts of possession of stolen property, 18 counts possession of ID, one count of forgery, 12 counts of fraud and one count of possession of forged document.

The crown, however, told the court that they have limited details on the charges filed against and unsure how to proceed yet.

The case was adjourned until Aug. 9.
