Stettler’s 38th Annual Trade Show kicks off April 13 and organizers promise the event has so much variety that it will have something for everyone.
“That’s kind of our motto this year,” said Donna Morris, Project Manager for Stettler Regional Board of Trade.
There are 119 vendors booked this year coming from across Alberta as well as some from B.C., Saskatchewan and Manitoba. The show will take up the two arenas as usual but also the concession area.
“We have technology, we have business, we have kids items and we have home repair. We also have a Kidz Zone that will be filled most of the weekend. We will have entertainment in there, crafts and colouring.”
Forty-five per cent of the vendors are new. The weekend entertainment includes Dirt Road Music DJ Stage, Bouncy Boyz Inflatables, Rosco the Magic Clown and “door prizes galore,” said Morris.
There will be interactive booths throughout the event for all ages.
“Fish and Wildlife is bringing back their fishing booth.”
Last year’s trade show saw just over 3,000 people go through its doors and Morris said they want to match those numbers this year.
“Our attendance is very dependent of the weather.”
Still, Morris hopes the community will come out and support the event.
“The trade show is important to the community. It helps build economic development and it helps the community understand what is in their back door so they can shop local.”
The Stettler Trade Show will be held at the Stettler Recreation Centre from April 13-15. On Friday it runs from 4-9, Saturday from 10-6, and Sunday from 11-4.
