Stettler RCMP Investigation of Stolen Property

Between Sept. 1st and Sept. 4th, the Stettler RCMP attended to a rural residence on Hwy. 601, in Stettler County as a result of a Possession of Stolen Property investigation.

On Sept. 1st, Stettler RCMP with the assistance of the Bashaw RCMP, located two stolen vehicles and arrested James Hall, Shantel Bish and Larry Watson on outstanding arrest warrants.

Also on Sept. 1st at approximately 1 p.m. Stettler RCMP located a stolen vehicle that had been painted purple in an attempt to disguise it.

Lauryn Kosteriva, David Viczkow, Danial Grams and Kyle Grams were arrested in the stolen vehicle near the Stettler Mall.

Kosteriva and Viczkow were released for court in Stettler on numerous conditions. Kyle Grams was held for a Judicial Interim Release hearing (JIR) and was released on $300 cash bail with conditions.

Danial Grams was held for a Judicial Interim Release hearing (JIR) and was remanded into custody.

On Sept. 3rd, Stettler RCMP received two reports from members of the public about a black Jeep that was reported stolen on Sept. 2nd.

Stettler RCMP attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled North on Hwy 56.

The Jeep was located at a rural residence on Hwy. 601 again. Stettler RCMP and Stettler Integrated Traffic Units attended to the scene and located the Jeep.

A search of the property was completed and Jade Chapman was located hiding and arrested without incident. Chapman and held for a JIR and was released by the Justice of the Peace on a $2,500 promise to pay with conditions.

A female was also arrested and released on conditions.

In the evening hours of Sept. 3rd, a black Ford F150 which had been reported as stolen out of Calgary was recovered by Big Valley.

Stettler RCMP with the assistance from Stettler Integrated Traffic Unit and Bashaw RCMP recovered five stolen vehicles and arrested nine individuals as a result of coordinated efforts.

Stettler RCMP would like to thank the public for their continued vigilance and assistance in helping the RCMP apprehend individuals responsible for crimes in the area.
