The Stettler Pregnancy Care Centre held its first “Comedy Night” at the Stettler Legion Hall on September 21, drawing a lively crowd of around 80 people eager for laughter and community support.
With tickets priced at $20, attendees enjoyed a dessert reception at 6:30 p.m. before the show began at 7:30 PM.
Comedian Matt Falk took the stage to entertain the audience with his stand-up routine while supporting the Centre's mission.
"Thank you all for coming out tonight for such a great cause," Falk said. His humour resonated with the crowd, contributing to a lively atmosphere throughout the evening.
Proceeds from the comedy night will support the operational funds for the Stettler location of the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre.
This funding is crucial for the Centre's mission to provide education and compassionate support to individuals and families before, during, and after pregnancy.
“The funds raised tonight will help support the Stettler Centre to be able to offer parenting and education to locals who need us,” said Lisa Smith, the Center’s executive director. She added, “We are incredibly grateful for the community’s continuous support. Events like this make a real difference.”
