Parents wanting to take advantage of programs offered by Stettler Parent Link, CONNECTions or McMan will have to travel to the organizations' new home, located in the back of the Stettler Mall, behind Peavey Mart.

The three organizations shared space above the Post Office, but the stairs proved to be a challenge as there was no elevator, making the site unfriendly for the disabled as well as parents lugging strollers and other mobility assists.

Candice Magee, Parent Link assistant, said, "parents found the steep stairs daunting."

Tuesday, April 5, marked the first day for the organizations in their new home, a larger and accessible space that can be accessed by driving behind the mall.

"Our play place is a bit bigger, so our activities can see more families take part," Magee said.

The three organizations offer free activities for children ages 0-6. The calendar of events is available online at www.mcmancentral.ca under the programs>Evergreen Paren Link Centre, or on Facebook at www.Facebook.com/Stettler.ParentLink.

Programs vary from Messy Art days, Story Time, fine and gross motor skills workshops, baby time and potluck suppers.
