Stettler Junior Curlers traveled to the Wetaskiwin bonspiel Jan. 11th and 12th

Coming up on Feb. 8th and 9th, the Club will be hosting its own junior bonspiel with 28 teams registered

The Stettler Junior Curlers traveled to the Wetaskiwin bonspiel Jan. 11th and 12th.

Team Niehaus, consisting of skip- Jenner Niehaus, third- Monya Schnetler, second- Stesha Missikewitz and lead- Theo Schnetler had a successful weekend winning the C division.

The team was down after Saturday’s two losses, but managed to rally back on Sunday winning three draws in a row to take the C Division Finals. In other action, Team Elder made their way to Bentley for their first ever bonspiel on Sunday, Jan. 12th.

The boys, who include Wyatt Elder, Ethan McPhee, Ryan Gonda and Hale Ruttan had an awesome experience, and will carry this momentum forward into their next spiel.

Team Kneeland will be heading out to Ponoka this upcoming weekend. Good luck to Hannah Kneeland, Emily Blouin, Emma Fraser and Zoe Norman.

Seven of the 28 teams are from our own club.

It is going to be an action-packed weekend, and we welcome anyone who would like to come out and watch our young curlers.

The juniors are fortunate to have amazing sponsors for their team wear. We would like to thank North Star Trucking Ltd, Generations RV and Stettler Agri-Centre Ltd. for their generous support.
