Stettler institution holds grand re-opening

Blokes Bakery has been in the community for decades

The new owners of a Stettler institution celebrated the grand re-opening of their business on Feb. 4.

Douglas Kultgen and Samantha Pettitt are the new owner’s of Bloke’s Bakery, a business going back decades in the community.

On hand to help the couple celebrate was Mayor Sean Nolls, who performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting.

According to Kultgen, around 200 people attended the grand opening, which featured a special of $0.25 glazed-donuts, a “throwback to 1966.”

In addition to the specials, the bakery had some antique equipment out on display and gift cards which had been donated from community business were used as draw prizes throughout the day.

Blokes is open Tuesdays through Saturday.
