On Saturday, Feb. 1, Stettler Regional Fire Rescue and Byemoor Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire south of Botha on Township Road 38-0, east of Highway 850.
Firefighters arrived at the scene at approximately 7:40 p.m., and while the garage itself was not able to be saved, crews worked hard to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby property.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
On Sunday, Feb. 6, at approximately 7:25 p.m., Stettler Regional Fire Rescue assisted RCMP and Stettler EMS with a single vehicle roll over east of Botha on Highway 12.
Traffic was diverted around the accident for a short while as crews worked to clear the scene. The two occupants of the vehicle escaped with only minor injuries, and the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
