At long last, a winner has been declared in the onging Castor Advance and Stettler Independent monthly photo contest for September.
After receiving a number of great entries from several people, our panel narrowed down the finalists to Pat Nash with two of her epic macro photo shots.
The winning shot was of a lady bug on a plant.
Runner up in the September contest was Alf Petkau of Red Deer, who submitted a photo of a deer on its hind legs reaching for food in a tree.
The third place finisher was Nash again, with another macro photo, this one a close up of the middle of a flower.
Up for grabs in this ongoing photo contest are gift cards to local Stettler and Castor businesses.
