The Stettler Adult Learning Centre (SALC) has announced a new executive director.
In a Nov. 5 media release, SALC announced that Patrick Paulo has been hired for the position.
Paulo comes from North Bay, Ont., and "is a deeply creative professional with a rich background in marketing, project management, and environmental stewardship.
Paulo has over a decade of experience in the not-for-profit and Crown Corporation sector and is passionate about providing "the best lifelong learning experience for the people in Stettler and the surrounding areas."
"I take great pride in creating meaningful interpersonal relationships with each learner and partner I meet," said Paulo. "My goal is to help others learn and grow in their respective fields."
As the new executive director of SALC, Paulo "aspires to promote lifelong learning in the community so that all citizens are able to access their individual learning needs."
In addition to his role at SALC, Paulo also teaches business classes at the University of Winnipeg online and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu locally at Thrive 360.
SALC offers a variety of continuing education opportunities for learners of all levels in the Stettler district including the Canadian Adult Education Credential (formerly the GED), English for Newcomers, basic computer classes, and more.
